How Many People Died on Ohio Roads Over Labor Day Weekend 2010?

September 14th, 2010

Overall, the news about Ohio Labor Day Weekend crashes is better than last year.  The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that 2010 Labor Day Weekend crashes were down by more than half over 2009 numbers.

The Provisional Numbers are Encouraging

In 2010, 7 people died in 7 fatal crashes.  Only one of those crashes is believed to be caused by drunk driving.  In 2009, 17 people died in Labor Day Weekend accidents and 7 of the fatalities were believed to be alcohol related.

If Your Loved One Was Among the 7 Lost

If your loved one was among the people killed in Ohio accidents over the holiday weekend then little comfort is to be found in the statistics.  You are grieving a tragic and, often, unnecessary loss.  If your loved one’s death was caused by someone else’s negligence then you may be entitled to legal damages.  Contact an Ohio accident lawyer for more information about your rights.
